SPECIAL
FEATURE
Mung Bean Thread, also referred
to as Bean Thread or Transparent noodles. These
Noodles are made from Mung Beans instead of
Grain Flour. These are delicate, almost flavorless
Noodles used in China and Japan.
Bean Thread Noodles are added to soups, braised
dishes, deep fried or used as a garnish.
Once the Noodles have soaked they become soft,

in vegetarian dishes because they are a vegetable
product.
When they are fried these Noodles puff up and
become very white and crispy allowing for use
as a bed for stir fried dishes.

made from ground mung beans (small, khaki green
legumes). They¡¯re used in a variety of Asian
dishes and are most often added to soups.

to stop cooking.
Use as a base for pad Thai, toss with sesame
oil and sesame seeds, or use them to fill spring
rolls.
