Furikake is seasoned powder for sprinkling over boiled rice. Very popular in Japan.
Furikake can be purchased from stores that carry Asian foods.
It is a dried "shaker" flavoring sprinkled over foods to add "taste".
There are many different "flavors", most have varying amounts of bonito, a dried fish, which then gives it a varying amount of "fishy" taste.
Therefore we recommend that you read the label of ingredients and see what is included.
Seaweed is another major ingredient with many furikake flavors so it make take you some experimentation before you get just the right flavor for your dinner table.
